England young pacer, Steve Finn, is confident of carrying his form when his side takes on West Indies and South Africa at home this summer.
The pacer has risen in stature since the turn of the year, with impressive showings on sub-continental pitches against the likes of Pakistan and Sri Lanka. He has started the current domestic season on an impressive note, which includes a seven –wicket burst
for Middlesex against Durham.
The fast-bowler is expected to be in the thick of the action for his national team, when they play Windies and the Proteas at home.
"I enjoyed my tours away from home, and I feel like I did myself justice," said Finn. "My game has come on a fair bit and I hope to see it grow more."
Kings XI Punjab’s co-owner, Ness Wadia, is hopeful that the Indian Premier League will make profit following the conclusion of the on-going fifth edition.
The franchise has a reported, accumulated, debt of around 50 to 60 crores from the first four seasons, but the owners are hopeful that they can break-even this year around despite struggling to find consistency.
“We’ve made losses of approximately Rs 50-60 crore in the last four years. This year, hopefully, we will be able to break even. We are working with the
IPL and the BCCI,” Ness Wadia, co-owner of KXIP, said.
Pakistani legendary spinner, Abdul Qadir, has backed the Cricket Board to successfully stage the first ever Pakistan Premier League, claiming that the league can easily revive international cricket in this region.
Pakistan have been trying hard to convince other cricketing nations to come and play in this region but their efforts have earned little dividend - with only club teams, the likes of British Universities students, willing to tour the country.
Following a delay in Bangladesh’s proposed tour, the PCB are working hard to stage their own T20 league, comprising of domestic talents and renowned international players. Qadir feels that the tournament will be a success, if they can devise a strict security
proposal.
“I am optimistic that some very good international players will feature in the PPL,” he hoped. “When international players will come here, then definitely finest security arrangements would be provided to them,” Qadir said
