  • Slavoljub Muslin confirms FC Krasnodar’s interest in Danilo Neco

Muslin has admitted that the Russian Premier League club is likely to sign Neco this winter and has backed Yura Movsisyan’s replacement, Moussa Konate, to shine

FC Krasnodar head coach, Slavoljub Muslin, has confirmed that the Russian Premier League club are likely to make an offer to FC Alania Vladikavkaz this winter regarding the sale of their prolific striker, Danilo Neco.

The Serbian tactician admitted an interest in the player after being impressed by the 26-year-old forward after the Brazilian International became the league’s second highest goal-scorer just one goal short from the top with nine goals in 17 league appearances.

The Alanian snow leopards, on the other hand, are reportedly willing to accept a 5 million Euro bid from the Krasnodar-based club despite being barely one place above the bottom spot on the league table.

“Yes, we would very much like to see Neco in Krasnodar. We are negotiating with Alan but the negotiations are ongoing and I cannot tell you anything more unless they come to a decisive point.” The former Lokomotiv Moscow man was quoted as saying.

Muslin went on to tell that the black-greens have signed Moussa Konate as a potential replacement for Yura Movsisyan, tournament’s third highest goal scorer who joined Spartak Moscow earlier this month.

The Russian outfit signed Konate from Maccabi Tel Aviv for reportedly two million Euros despite getting over 15 million Euros for Movsisyan. Konate will play his first game for Krasnodar when the season resumes in March after the winter break.

Speaking on the importance of strengthening his side during this transfer window, the 59-year-old said that he made a couple of signings in order to avoid relegation this season.

“We will try to play as good as we played last season because the situation is getting intense. We need to work harder as the spring portion of the championship does not hold enough games. So, each of these meetings should be taken as to the cup.” He concluded.

As things stand, the Byki are at the 10th spot on the league table and 12 points above from drop zone.
