Simon Dyson expecting the birth of his first child before WGC-Cadillac Championship – Golf News
North Yorkshire’s Simon Dyson, who is scheduled to play on the European Tour’s Cadillac Championship, has announced that his wife, Lindsey, is expecting the birth of their first child before the tournament starts on Thursday, March 8, 2012.
According to Dyson, his wife will have a Caesarean operation for the purpose of giving birth, as advised by the doctors.
His wife was told that she was not in a position to give birth to her child in a regular delivery. Therefore, she will have to be operated on Monday 5, 2012.
After becoming a proud father, Dyson will move to Doral Golf Resort and Spa, Arizona, where he will spend four days, as there is no half-way cut in the event.
Dyson said that he will be participating in the event with a totally different approach and pleasant mood.
This will help him score a better finish in the event as compared to the one he did in last week’s Accenture Match Play Championship.
He was knocked out in the opening round while playing against Australia’s John Senden, who defeated him 4&3 at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club at the Dove Mountain Resort.
According to several golf experts, Dyson looked completely out-of-focus while he was playing his match against the Australian because of the birth of his child on his mind.
Dyson only managed to score two points against Senden’s six until the match ended on the par-four 15th.
Following his win in the match, Senden told the reporters that he won the match quite easily and Dyson did not really threaten him at any point of the game.
Therefore, the birth of his child prior to the start of the second World Golf Championship of the season will be a positive sign for his fans, as he may perform his best owing to the happiness and his relaxed state of mind.
According to the latest World Golf Rankings, he slipped to the 31st position after a brutal loss in the Accenture Match Play Championship.
However, he still has several high-rated tournaments ahead of him where he can perform well and earn ranking points to surge in the OWGR.
