Parma 2-0 Novara- Wednesday, April 11
The Gialloblu secured a much needed victory to distance themselves from the relegation zone. A goal each from Sebastian Giovinco and Jonathan inspired Roberto Donadoni’s men to a convincing win over relegation struck, Novara.
As a result of the win, Parma climbed to the 14th position in the league table, and move four points clear of the drop zone. On the other hand, relegation to Serie B now seems inevitable for Attilio Tesser’s men, as
they are at the 19th position in the table, with nine points separating them from the team positioned above them.
Genoa 1-1 Cesena- Wednesday, April 11
Alberto Malesani’s men were held to a stalemate by bottom-placed Cesena at Stadio Luigi Ferraris. Marco Rossi opened the scoring in the 41st minute, as the Rossoblu looked to distance themselves from the relegation zone.
However, Adrian Mutu’s 76th minute strike stopped them from taking all three points from the game.
