Ribery claimed that the clash against Real Madrid will be a great one for his side and is hopeful of playing in the final at Allianz Arena. Los Blancos are the most likely team to face the Bavarians after their 3-0 win over APOEL
The French international added that the fans will witness two stunning games as the two sides are almost parallel in every aspect. He admitted that Bayern are targeting a place in the final and stated that the team has a very good
chance this time around.
“I think we'll face Real Madrid in the semis and that's super for us. We're currently playing very well. Real are a big club and I hope that there will be two good games for us,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The former Marseille player reserved praise for Austrian international David Alaba and claimed that the youngster has a great future at the club. He stated that there is immense maturity in the defender’s performances and hailed
the player’s display against the French giants in the quarter-final.
“When you're playing at Bayern, it's never easy. You have to win every game and that's not easy. But Alaba is a great kid: 19 years old and yet so good. You really don't have the feeling that this is really just a kid who is playing
with us,” he concluded.
Franck Ribery has been in sublime form this season and has already scored 14 goals from the 39 appearances made in all competitions. The winger also has an impressive 23 assists to his name.
Bayern will next take on FC Augsburg in the Bundesliga at the weekend at the Allianz Arena in a bid to remain on the heels of Borussia Dortmund.
