Review of the News: Manchester City, Manchester United, Newcastle United and West Ham United
The Slovakian attacker of Manchester City, Vladimir Weiss is hopeful that in near future he would be a part of Roberto Mancini's new team. Vladimir Weiss is currently on a loan at Scottish club, but is hopeful his future is at Manchester City. The 21-year-old
winger wants to be a part of new Manchester side, although he has found it hard to earn a regular place at Rangers, where he is spending his loan term.
Vladimir Weiss said Manchester City is the club where he grew up and learned football. He added that he loves Eastland and would want to join them in near future. He added that he wants to go back to Manchester even though he would face a massive challenge
in getting into the starting eleven.
"Although I haven't spoken to Mancini this season I don't feel forgotten because the club have been in touch and I hope that's a sign that they want me. I don't see the move to Glasgow as the end for me at City. They had offers from clubs wanting to
buy me in the summer and I hope the fact they turned them all down suggests I have a future back there. They told me to get some experience at Rangers and come back a better player",
The English midfielder of the Red Devils, Michael Carrick believes consistency is the key for his team as they bid to regain their title. Carrick feels Manchester's experience and traditional high standards will prove crucial in the second half of the season.
The English International said: "We set standards here. They have been set by different teams over the years and it carries on through each season. We want to try and reach those standards as often as possible. Sometimes you can't do it, but when it
does come together, like it did against Blackburn on Saturday, you get the feeling you should be doing it more often. That is what we strive for week after week, to try and get the right performance as well as the result."
The Magpies manager remains confident his club would survive in the Barclays Premier League at least for this season. Newcastle United is one of the three newly promoted clubs of Barclays Premier League and are currently sitting in the top half of the table
with 19 points to their name out of 15 games. Recently, the Magpies bounced back from a five one defeat against Bolton and drew against Premier League champions last weekend.
The Magpies manager said that at the start of the season, he was well aware that it would be a difficult task to even survive in Barclays Premier League but his team has shown extraordinary performance and would look to continue their impressive form in
order to remain in English top flight football.
WEST HAM UNITED
West Ham United managed their second league win of the season last weekend against Wigan Athletic by three goals to one. West Ham United are currently at the bottom of Barclays Premier League table with only 12 points to their name out of 15 league matches.
However, recently they thrashed Manchester United by four goals in Carling Cup and qualified for the semi-finals of this competition. The Hammers win over Manchester United also saw them ending United’s unbeaten streak of this season.
Avram Grant and his men will visit Stadium of Light to face Sunderland for the sixteenth round of Barclays Premier League and would look to end Sunderland unbeaten home record just like they did with Manchester United.
