R-Truth drops down six places to seventh spot in this week’s WWE Power 25

One of the angriest superstars of WWE, R-Truth, dropped down from first place to the seventh position in this week's ranking. The Academy of Wrestling Arts and Science dropped his position due to his continual defeats in previous week’s SmackDown, Raw and Pay-Per-View segments.

R-Truth was on the top of the Power 25 list previous week in the June 18’s rankings. The AWAS gave him the top place because he beat down the WWE Champion, John Cena, in that week’s Friday Night SmackDown. The current Power 25 list was based on June 19’s Capitol Punishment, June 20’s Monday Night Raw and June 24’s Friday Night SmackDown.

R-Truth was set to face the WWE Champion, Cena. at Capitol Punishment. R-Truth tried his best to win the fight, but could not stand against the WWE Champion. Cena proved that he was stronger than R-Truth, when Cena put him into STF, while Truth tapped out.

One night after Capitol Punishment, the anonymous Raw General Manager set a fight between the tag-team of the WWE Champion, Cena, Alex Riley and the World Heavyweight Champion, Randy Orton, and the team of R-Truth, The Miz and Christian. R-Truth’s team lost in tag-team match again during Monday Night Raw. Both defeats caused R-Truth to drop from his first position in the Power 25 list.

The former United States Champion, Kofi Kingston, was also impacted with a huge drop in the list. Kingston dropped down to ninth place from sixth position in current week’s rankings. Kingston lost his championship to Dolph Ziggler at Capitol Punishment due to the interference of Vickie Guerrero. Next day at Monday Night Raw, Kingston was given another title shot for US Championship against the new champion, Ziggler.  When Vickie observed that Ziggler would lose the match, she interfered and the match was disqualified. Although Kingston won the match by disqualification, but Ziggler still remains the United States Champion.

The Mexican Masked Marvel, Sin Cara, retained his fifth place in the Power 25 list. Sin Cara won his fight against Ted DiBiase during Friday Night SmackDown, on June 24 that caused him to secure his fifth place in the Top 5 superstars.
