Premier League Goal Summary: Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Swansea City

Wolverhampton Wanderers played host to the newly promoted side Swansea City, as both the teams were looking to get their season on track, with a win.

Despite Wolves being the more experienced Premier League side, they had not been performing all that well lately and hence Swansea had a real chance of getting something out of the game.

Prior to the game, most experts were torn apart over who would win the game,  as both teams looked capable of picking up all three points.

The match kicked off in a rather unexpected manger for Wolverhampton, as they went on to concede an early goal in the 23rd minute. Gower played in a ball over the Wolves defence and Graham kept his cool as he slotted the ball into the back of the net.

In the 35th minute, Swansea doubled their lead in the game. Graham darted down the flank and then went on to play a brilliant ball to Joe Allen. Allen kept his composure, as he went on to beat Hennessey with ease.

Wolves tried to turn the game around in the second half, as they kept attacking Swansea who seemed inclined to defending their lead in the game.

In the 84th minute Vokes smacked a shot towards the Swansea goal. Vorm parried the ball way, but Doyle smashed the rebound into the back of the net.

In the 86th minute, Wolves continued their rampant form, as O’Hara received a pass and then went on to smack a shot into the top of the net.

As a result of that late flurry from the home side, the game ended with both the teams taking home one point from the game.

The line ups for the game were as follows:

Wolverhampton: Hennessey, Stearman, Berra, Johnson, Ward, Jarvis, Henry, O'Hara, Hammill, Doyle, Ebanks-Blake

Subs: De Vries, Craddock, Hunt, Vokes, Milijas, Doherty, Guedioura

Swansea: Vorm, Rangel, Monk, Williams, Taylor, Dyer, Allen, Gower, Britton, Sinclair, Graham

Subs: Tremmel, Orlandi, Routledge, Lita, Moore, Richards, Moras
