Osvaldo has faith in A.S Roma and hoping to get back to winning ways soon: Serie A news
A.S Roma striker, Pablo Osvaldo, believes that the win over Parma will revive their season and get his team back on track for the future games.
Roma won their first game of the 2011/12 season as they beat Parma 1-0 at the Stadio Ennio Tardini on Sunday, September 25, 2011. The Giallorossi have had a poor start to the season as they have picked up only 2 points from their
opening three matches prior to this game.
Osvaldo was signed in the summer transfer window for approximately 17.5-million-Euros from Espanyol and the striker has had a decent start to his Roma career. The Italian international also scored in his team’s 1-1 draw against
Siena few days back.
Osvaldo insisted that his team’s performance against Siena clearly reflects a visible improvement from the previous matches and wants to build on it in the future games. The 25-year-old believes that it takes time to adapt to new
things and the players have shown the determination to accept the change and are willing to make the sacrifices to make it happen.
While talking to the reporters, Osvaldo said, "We deserved this victory because we have been doing great work and until today, luck was not on our side. We had to become mentally free. We believe in ourselves and that can be seen
in the sacrifices we make on the pitch, but it is normal that it takes time to adapt to new things.”
The former Fiorentina star believes that it is really tough playing in the Italian league because the fans and owners become impatient if results do not come instantly. However, Osvaldo feels if his team is given some time, they
will achieve big things in the future.
"Often in Italy, people do not give teams much time, but if we have time, we can do great things. This victory is important for us, the coach and the team-mates who stayed in Rome."
Roma will play their next league game against Atalanta on Sunday, October 1st, 2011.
