World number one, Novak Djokovic, has taken time out of his professional tennis circuit duties and praised the support of her girlfriend, Jelena Ristic, who has been always there for him at all the ups and down of his life.
She was seen at all the matches during the Australian Open campaign, backing up the Serb and rejoicing every point won by him. It’s a well known phrase that ‘behind every successful man there is a woman supporting him’ and it seems like Djokovic has found
that woman in the form of Ristic.
Talking about her girlfriend on NBC’s show, the Australian Open champion stated, “Jelena is the love of my life. We have been together for a few years and her honesty is what I love about her and what keeps us happy and in
love. She is capable, ambitious and strong.” It will be probably the best moment in the life of a girl who is praised on the media by the most successful man in the present world of tennis.
It’s been six years that they have been dating each other. Djokovic met Ristic through mutual friends and both of them liked each other; ever since they are living together a very healthy relationship. The tension on the
face of Ristic during a six-hour marathon match told the whole story about his love for the Serb gentleman. Ristic travels with Djokovic throughout the year during his ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals) World Tour and is found with the team of Djokovic
in the arena, encouraging him all the way.
Ristic was also questioned about his love and she bluntly stated, “I'm really proud. It's his dream to be so successful and I'm really happy for him that he managed to, you know accomplish at least part of his dream. Hopefully
I'll be there to help him and to see him achieving the biggest one, the top.” The Serb is lucky to have someone so supportive in his life from the days when no one knew about that gentleman.
Djokovic is taking time out from the tennis circuit after a gruelling tour to Melbourne where he successfully defended his Australian Open title; battling with his arch rival, Rafael Nadal, in an enthralling five-set encounter
