Nick Williams happy with Reve De Sivola’s form
Reve De Sivola has set his sights on the Rewards4Racing Cleeve Hurdle at Cheltenham in England this year. He has been in very good form and will definitely be the one to watch out for in the Grade 2 encounter.
The eight-year-old gelding from France likes running in races over hurdles and his record in this format has been really nice. His rivals will definitely fear him and his team is expecting a positive result from him.
According to his trainer, Nick Williams, “I have been happy with Reve De Sivola since his win at Ascot and we are looking at running him in the Rewards4Racing Cleeve Hurdle. I wasn't really surprised by his performance at Ascot because he is a Grade 1 horse.
We decided to switch back to hurdles from chasing because he wasn't jumping his fences properly.”
Reve De Sivola was not rated as the favourite to succeed in his most recent race at Ascot, but he surprised one and all with his skills. He jumped really well and left his rivals way behind in the end. No one was able to challenge his for a victory and he
finished first by 14 lengths.
Other than his own horse, Williams believes that Oscar Whisky will also be the one to watch out for at the end of the day. He is a terrific jumper and will definitely get the attention of everyone in the all important competition.
Overall, Oscar Whisky has participated in 14 hurdles, winning 10 of them. It is clear that he has a great chance of shining and it will not be a clever thing to take him easy.
However, Williams said that there will be no other serious contenders for victory in the race and the real battle will be amongst Reve De Sivola and Oscar Whisky.
The veteran trainer went onto say, “I think the other horses in the Ladbrokes World Hurdle betting are speculative because they haven't got top-class form at the trip and are suspect stayers. My horse is a genuine stayer and has a lot of class - I think
he is the one to beat.”
