NHL Update: Who will be the best 2010-11 season rookie?
The 2010-11 season starts in a few months time, and providing us with rookies that are talented, skilful and the most extravagant to watch out for. Here we will be discussing the rookies to watch out for during the 2010-11 season. If some of these rookies have, a particularly good first season in the NHL and are surely destined to reach the top and be amongst the best in the business.
The Toronto Maple’s 19 year old centre forward Nazem Kadri is one future prospect putting up an impressive show at the World Juniors at Canada, and a sensational OHL season last year. Picked as the seventh draft pick in 2009, he is surely one star that is expected to shine for the Toronto Maples. The rookie’s career thus far has seen him score 35 goals, 58 assists in just 56 games in the OHL. This rookie sensation put up a pile of consistent performances and averaged above a point per game.
Another centre forward, though only 18, Tyler Seguin is regarded by many as a future captain of his current Boston Bruins team. The 18 year old was the second draft pick this season at the NHL draft pick. Many considering the fact that he put up consistent and valuable performance say that he should have been the first pick. Tyler will surely be getting his chances at Bruins, now it’s up to him to perform and establish his position as one of the best in his team and in the NHL.
P.K Subbans, 21 year old Montreal Canada defenseman is expected to make Rookie of the Year finalists, though whether he wins or not remains to be seen. His consistent performance in the OHL, AHL and NHL has impressed many coupled with the confidence that makes him one of the most spectacular players to watch out for.
Taylor Hall of the Edmonton Oilers occupies the position as a left wing forward position. The type of player he is, instant impact is expected from him on the field piling a heap of good performances. The 18 year old is regarded by some as best from the rest of the rookie lot.
The only goalie that is in the list is Jonathan Bernier. The 20 year old Los Angeles Kings goalie seems like a brick wall when the offense is bombarding him with shots. This exciting rookie has impressed many and this is the reason that he edges out over other rookie goalies in the game and occupies the position in this list as the only goalie.
According to some, Brayden Schenn, 18 year old Los Angeles Kings Centre is regarded as the best pick of his draft. Younger brother of Luke Schenn, who plays for the Toronto Maple, he is expected to be at the top six in the list of forwards in future with the sort of performances he comes up with.
Tyler Ennis is a skilful and talented Buffalo Sabres centre forward. According to some, he is expected to be the best rookie in the upcoming NHL season. The Sabres gave this 20 year old all the time he needed to settle himself, for which they are praised. As they gave this talent a chance and now, it’s time for him to shine and be in the running for winning titles. Not only his team but writing his name in the history books by putting up the extravagant performances as expected from him.
Another rookie of the Edmonton Oilers, Jordon Eberle is one the most famous player in the league so far. Though he took part only in one game in the NHL season, his performance in that game showed his skill and extravagant control. The one game that he played has made him a national hero and a future prospect for sure. The young, immensely talented player is surely going to play a key role in Oilers season. This rookie is the one who everybody will eye on for the coming few seasons. Not only this, this already national hero is expected to be a future leader, a future Olympian and a potential Hall of Fame inductee.
As for who would be the best of this lot, it is left on time to decide but anyone of these who works the hardest and that too consistently, would surely be above others as the experts say.
