Mr Woods to snatch victory in Dennis Clancy & Sons Ltd Irvine Handicap Chase at Ayr
Mr Woods is hot favourite for the Dennis Clancy & Sons Ltd Irvine Handicap Chase, scheduled to take place at Ayr on Saturday, March 10, 2012.
The fans are anxiously waiting for the show to begin, as there are many strong contenders in the line-up.
Among the entries are: Mr Woods, Maple Valley Gale, Sammy Spiderman, Master D´or, Rossini´s Dancer, Tipsy Dara, Soprano and Toy Gun.
The 3m1f Class-4 meeting is due to start at 15:25 (GMT). A cash prize of £3,899 will be given to the ultimate champion.
Mr Woods, who will aim for his second consecutive triumph, is the one to watch out for. Nobody needs much of a memory to recall his fresh success, as he sealed an emphatic win earlier this week.
On March 08, the Harriet Graham-trained displayed a splendid show in the Weatherbys Cheltenham Festival Betting Guide Handicap Chase at Carlisle.
Although Blazing Diva teased him right through the clash, Mr Woods, ridden by Harry Haynes, did not let anyone spoil his party. Following a brilliant run, the 10-year-old secured an easy 7-length victory.
He will be tested by Maple Valley Gale, who secured second place in a race on Friday. With two back to back races, the eight-year-old might be a bit tired, but that does not take anything away from her.
On March 09, the mare performed well in the Strathmore Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Chase at the same venue. After a fresh decent performance, she will be confident of doing well today.
Sammy Spiderman will also fancy his chances. The nine-year-old sealed a classy victory at the end of January, when he defeated Something Silver by two and a half lengths.
After displaying a fantastic performance, the Alistair Whillans-trained lost his direction, finishing fourth in his following race.
Mr Wood is a recent winner and thus, he cannot be overlooked. The Laumar Racing-owned will look to continue his winning journey.
However, it is not going to be a child’s play for him, as Maple Valley Gale and Sammy Spiderman will challenge him throughout the contest.
The clash is expected to be quite entertaining, as every runner is determined to produce something special. Good luck to all runners.
