Milly On Bear tipped for victory in the Williamhill.com Stakes
Milly On Bear looks all set to take on rest of the greyhounds in the Williamhill.com Stakes 450 metres flat race at Sunderland in England on Thursday, February 16, 2012. The cash prize for winning the Grade A8 event is £108.
J. Teal’s trained bitch seems to be in very good form at the moment, as she has been delivering consistent results over the past few months.
The black bitch finished runner up in her previous outing. She was the favourite for that race as well, but got crowded at the start, which cost her some crucial time. However, the bookmakers still have faith in her abilities, giving her a starting price
of 5 to 2 for today.
Milly On Bear is the daughter of Hades Rocket out of Tapachula and was born in August 2009.
On the other hand, North Stroma has been given a starting price of 11 to 4 despite her lacklustre performances in recent times. Her trainer, J. Calvert, will be expecting a strong race today, but only time will tell whether which greyhound ends up on top.
The black bitch is the daughter of Hades Rocket out of Miles Pacey and was born in August 2009.
Balintore Flash and Dianas Florin have been given a starting price of 7 to 2. The latter of the two has shown some consistency over the past few months and has the potential to finish in top three today.
Dianas Florin was trained by S. Linley, whereas Balintore Flash got her training from Y. Bell. Both bitches will have to be at their very best in order to fight for victory at Sunderland.
J. Teal’s trained dog, Noelles Tornado, will enter the race with a starting price of 5 to 1. He has got three third place finishes in previous five outings, and might prove to be the surprise of the day.
The seasoned greyhound is the son of Flying Penske out of Noelles Magico and was born in March 2007. He will be the only dog in the race today, as all other participants are bitches.
Another veteran greyhound, Murlough Pearl, is expected to deliver a good show, using all her experience. She has been awarded with a starting price of 6 to 1. The A. McNicholas trained bitch is the daughter of Premier Fantasy out of Floating Lass and was
born in July 2007.
Although the favourite bitch appears to be too strong for the rest of the pack, she is likely to be given a tough time from the seasoned greyhounds.
