Massimiliano Allegri labels A.C Milan as a complete team: Serie A news
Manager, Massimiliano Allegri, believes A.C Milan are a complete team and they will prove to be a threatening force in the 2011/12 campaign.
Milan won the 2010/11 Serie A in Allegri’s first season as a manager and ended a seven year Scudetto drought. The tactician is delighted with the new signings and believes that the club have provided him with one of the best talents
in the game. The Italian believes that versatility in his squad helped the team a great deal last season and it will continue to give him selection dilemmas in the upcoming season too.
Talking to the reporters Allegri said, “We start the new season in the best possible way, as the club provided me with three new buys plus Alberto Paloschi. Last season I changed the team quite a lot due to injuries, as we ended
the campaign with Kevin-Prince Boateng as trequartista after Robinho had taken that role.”
“We have many versatile figures who allow us to have different options. Right now the squad is complete, I’m happy with the players at my disposal and now we can only focus on doing well.”
Milan have added Philippe Mexes, Taye Taiwo, Stephan El-Shaarawy and Alberto Paloschi to the squad and have also confirmed the permanent signings of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Kevin-Prince Boateng. The 43-year-old is confident that
the new signings will take no time in adjusting to Milan and will make a huge impact next season.
Allegri has set his sights on winning the double of UEFA Champions League and Serie A and he is confident that the team has quality to achieve the feat. The Italian believes that his squad has the right blend of youth and experience
and they can beat any side in the world.
The former Cagliari boss has urged his troops to show the same hunger and motivation as they did in the last season. Milan’s consistency played a huge role in winning the league and the tactician is confident that his troops will
continue from where they left last season.
