Goran Pandev could be an ideal player for Napoli, claims the agent: Serie A news
The agent of Inter Milan striker, Goran Pandev, believes that his client can be an ideal player for Italian side, Napoli.
Pandev is seeking a move away from San Siro, as the new manager, Gian Piero Gasperini, has told him that he is not part of his plans. Gasperini is looking to sign Genoa striker, Rodrigo Palacio, and has even asked the Marassi club
to make an exchange deal with the Macedonian. However, Pandev has declined a move to Genoa and wants to move to a bigger club.
The agent of the former Lazio striker is trying to force a move to Stadio San Paolo for his client and has revealed that he is in talks with the Azzurri officials. He added that Napoli manager, Walter Mazzarri, is a huge admirer
of the 28-year-old from the time he was in Lazio and certainly wants to sign him in the summer transfer window. He further added that Napoli is a big club and every player dreams to play for them.
Talking to the reporters the agent said, “I can honestly say I know Mazzarri really likes him, right from the time when the Coach was considering the Lazio job and Goran was still at the club."
"I couldn’t say whether the move was plausible, because it’s all tied to Ezequiel Lavezzi’s future and Pandev’s wages. One thing is for certain, Napoli has a special fascination for anyone and we’d think very carefully about this.
Napoli would be ideal for the player.”
Roma are in the market for a new striker to provide cover for Edinson Cavani and Ezequiel Lavezzi. The Azzurri were previously interested in signing former Juventus striker, David Trezeguet, but a deal could not be finalized. Pandev
could be an ideal signing for the Naples outfit, as he has UEFA Champions League experience as well.
Pandev joined the Nerazzurri from Lazio in the January transfer window of 2010 and since then, he has made 67 appearances for the club and has scored 8 goals as well.
