Fulham midfielder Clint Dempsey linked to PSG; Huntelaar staying with Schalke’04

Clint Dempsey linked to PSG

Fulham midfielder, Clint Dempsey, has been linked with a move to French side, Paris Saint-Germain, in the summer transfer window.

Dempsey has been in superb form throughout the season and has scored 13 goals in all competitions this term for Fulham. The versatile midfielder has played in an array of positions for the London-based club and has even filled the role of an emergency striker in the absence of Bobby Zamora.

Les Parisiens are in desperate need to sign an attacking midfielder and the PSG manager, Antoine Kombouare, is a huge admirer of the USA International and is desperate to bring him to the club. However, Fulham manager Mark Hughes sees Dempsey as an important player in his future plans and it is highly unlikely that he would let him go.

Fulham are expected to offer the 28-year-old with a new contract as his existing contract is set to expire in two years time.

Klass-Jan Huntelaar happy at Schalke

Schalke’04 striker, Klass-Jan Huntelaar, has revealed that he will stay with the Royal Blues and has no intentions of leaving the club in the summer transfer window.

Reports in Germany stated that the former Real Madrid striker is set to leave the Gelsenkirchen at the end of the season after the club failed to qualify for next season’s UEFA Champions League. Despite a poor season in the Bundesliga, Schalke made it to the semi-finals of the 2010/11 Champions League and stunned some of the big sides in Europe.

Huntelaar told the reporters, "I do not want to leave the club just because we did not qualify for the Champions League. I will definitely stay with Schalke this summer. “

"We are all responsible for the highs and lows we went through this season, including myself. I am determined to make an impact at Schalke next term. Fourth place will be enough to reach the Champions League."

Since joining the Miners from AC Milan before the start of the season, Huntelaar has made 31 appearances and has scored 11 goals so far.
