Fixtures of McCoy Premier League
After a short and relatively silent period, the tumult and excitement is back to hit darts arenas in the form of McCoy's Premier League Darts that will go underway from February 9, at the Manchester Arena.
The event is once again expected to set fire in the arena with the kind and intensity of encounters it will present to the audience.
Above all, fingers are crossed for the battle that will take place in the Premier League between current World Champion Adrian Lewis and 15-time champion and the heartthrob of darts, Phil Taylor.
Carrying with itself a purse of 450,000 pounds, the event will also comprise of matches between other senior players of darts who, interestingly, will be making their debuts in this particular event.
Reigning champion of Premier League Gary Anderson will be facing debutant Kevin Painter in the very opening of his campaign.
The procedure of the tournament has been designed for eight players, who will face each other a couple of times to secure and reserve their places in the May event of darts, known as the O2.
It is further interesting to note that the first match of the event is between Taylor and Lewis.

Other than this, the opening matches will also fuel excitement as Australian Simon Whitlock and Dutch darts star Raymond Van Barneveld face each other.
The four best filtered from the Premier League will get an opportunity to compete in the O2 competition, in which the winner of the event will be able to bag an additional 150,000 pounds in his bank account.
