Final Flashback likely to prevail in Friday Evening Racing Handicap
Final Flashback has been awarded with the best odds for victory in Friday Evening Racing Handicap at Cork in Ireland on Saturday, April 7, 2012. The triumphant runner will be awarded with a cash prize of €13,000.
A total of 12 entries have been attracted towards the 1 mile 2 furlong and 50 yard race, which is scheduled to start at 4:00 GMT, and their names are as follows: Final Flashback, Robin Hood, Font Of Wisdom, Malayan Mist, Denny Crane, Sunset Beauty,
Cul A Dun, Bold Thady Quill, Scottish Boogie, Tribes And Banner, Rory Anna and Honourable Emperor.
Out of the above mentioned participants, Final Flashback is likely to do well in the race. The bookies have awarded him with decent odds despite the fact that he has been unable to maintain a good strike rate overall.
The seven-year-old gelding has participated in 44 events until now, winning just eight of them. Other than that, he has secured the runner up position in three races and finished third once, which suggests that he is quite capable of fighting for victories.
Patrick J. Flynn’s trainee has been doing well in recent times though, thus the punters will be placing quite a few bets in his favour. The most important thing was that he has raced at Cork, which means that Final Flashback will be aware of the conditions
at the venue.
Today’s favourite horse’s most recent outing did not prove to be a good one, as he finished 10th in it. He was not the favourite to win that event and ended up way behind the rest of the pack.
Final Flashback will be partnered by D. M. Grant, who has got a decent record at this level and will be looking forward to a good show yet again.
Robin Hood, trained by A. P. O'Brien, might spoil the party for the race favourite, as he is also a decent runner and has done well in the recent past. He has entered seven races in his career until now, winning a couple of them.
The second favourite runner will be ridden by J. P. O'Brien, who has done a decent job over the past few events.
