The Nerazzurri striker insists that the Napoli and Siena strikers are champions, and would be great additions to the Beneamata squad.
Diego Milito is excited at the possibility of playing alongside Ezequiel Lavezzi in Inter Milan’s forward line, and believes that the Partenopei striker can make a difference at the Milan outfit.
The Napoli striker is currently being linked with a move to San Siro and Paris Saint-Germain in the summer transfer window.
Milito insisted that he has always loved playing alongside champions, and believes that the Azzurri aggressor will prove to be a winner at the club.
The Nerazzurri attacker stated that although he has not spoken to Lavezzi about a possible transfer to San Siro, his arrival at the Milan giants will add a lot to the strength of the squad.
While talking to the Gazzetta dello Sport., the 32-year-old said:
“I like to play with champions and Lavezzi is one of those. He is a player who can make the difference, but I can honestly say that I haven’t spoken to him about a possible move here.”
The Beneamata are also being linked with a move for Siena’s Mattia Destro, who grew as a player at Inter Milan’s youth academy, but was transferred to Genoa, in a deal for Andrea Ranocchia.
Milito insisted that the Robur striker’s impressive talent was evident even during Jose Mourinho’s time, and stated that he deserves to play in a great club like the Beneamata.
“You could already tell that Destro was a great player while he was with us during the Jose Mourinho days. I think he’s good enough for a great club.”
There was also a lot of uncertainty surrounding Diego Milito’s future at San Siro after a dismal start to the 2011-12 campaign, but the striker recovered wonderfully and went on to score 24 goals in the season.
The Nerazzurri goal-scorer stated that he wants to stay at the Milan outfit for another couple of years, and insisted that his dream is to bring back the Scudetto to Inter Milan in order to thank the fans for their support over
