Daniel Hudson hopes to pitch in 2013 – MLB Update
The Arizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher is quite hopeful for a potential comeback in the next Major League Baseball season. Hudson is currently injured and recovering from an injury but he still believes that he will be ready for the next big event in 2013.
Last season, before getting injured, he achieved consistent numbers of 7.35 ERA along with 3-2 win-loss, 37 strikeouts and 1.63 WHIP. Overall he possesses good career numbers as well which makes him a good role player in the league.
He currently holds good career 3.68 ERA along with 28-17 win-loss, 304 strikeouts and 1.21 WHIP. He also recently made some public comments about his potential comeback in the next season and how he is recovering from the injury.
“You go from doing something that you've done every single day for pretty much your entire life, and you have an injury like this and you can't do anything that relates to it even closely for four months, and it's just kind of crazy, When your team is out there fighting hard and trying to get on a winning streak and you're sitting at home or in the dugout just watching and can't do anything to help, it takes a mental toll on you," Hudson said in detail.
“I was obviously wondering, 'Is it ready to go?” Hudson said of his thoughts prior to throwing for the first time.
Meanwhile, Major League experts also rate high Hudson’s potential presence in the Diamondbacks’ roster next season. Along with Hudson, the Diamondbacks have a very strong starting unit and can give tough time to their opponents.
Currently the Diamondbacks have starter Brandon McCarthy, Tyler Skaggs and Trevor Cahill, who are key players for Arizona’s baseball franchise. Brandon McCarthy showed good commitment last season and achieved consistent results of 3.24 ERA along with 8-6 win loss, 73 strikeouts and 1.25 WHIP.
Overall his career ERA of 4.02 along with 37-39 win-loss, 447 strikeouts and 1.28 WHIP makes him a utility player in the league. Tyler Skaggs remained consistent in the last Major League Baseball season and achieved consistent results of 5.83 along with 1-3 win loss, 21 strikeouts and 1.47 WHIP.
