Paris Saint-Germain narrowly avoided a shocking defeat at the hands of Arras in Coupe de France as a 4-3 win set up a home meeting with Toulouse in the next round of the competition

Despite the tough win, coach, Carlo Ancelotti is satisfied with the positive result. The 53-year-old was talking to reporters after the match and the boss stated that it wasn’t an excellent performance from his side but they got the job done nonetheless.
The boss said that Cup matches are never easy and PSG saw that against Arras, who were allowed to get back in the game by the Ile giants.
"It was real Cup match and they're never easy. We started the match well but afterwards we allowed Arras opportunities.”
The Italian added that Paris Saint-Germain let their guard down on the pitch and they were poor defensively.
“We played well, but we were not good defensively. We hadn't conceded in our last four matches and maybe we thought it would be too easy. That said, we won and so everything's good."
Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain midfielder, Blaise Matuidi has expressed his disappointment at the way PSG played in the Cup. The Frenchman added that Les Parisiens wanted to qualify in a more positive manner but a win is a win and the France international
is pleased that his side didn’t suffer a shock defeat at the hands of minnows in Coupe de France.
"We would have liked to have qualified in a different manner, but we saw the results and there were quite a lot of surprises in the Cup.”
Matuidi said that their opponents played with a game plan and PSG are lucky they didn’t fall into it.
“There was a trap in this match and we didn't fall into it, even though we are disappointed to have conceded three goals.”
