AC Milan update: Zlatan Ibrahimovic thinks Antonio Cassano is the best replacement for Ronaldinho

Brazilian star footballer is all set to join his old club Gremio as he would fly down to Brazil after a training session at Dubai. Brazilian AC Milan striker will be replaced by 28-year-old Italian striker, Antonio Cassano. Cassano is widely known for his skills on the field as well as for his short temper. That’s why, he was given the name ‘Cassanata’ which is commonly used by the Italian media in a situation when a player misbehaves. Zlatan Ibrahimovic welcomed Antonio Cassano as the best replacement for Ronaldinho and also ruled out the possibility of Antonio’s "trouble behavior" as many of his Real Madrid and Roma mates say. Cassano is considered a rebel both on the pitch and off the field. But at the same time, he is well regarded by football pundits.

The 29-year-old Swedish striker asserted that Milan is a great team and it has a great potential. He said, “I regret that Ronaldinho is not the part of Milan team anymore but I always appraise him as the Champion of all time. Most importantly, Ronaldinho is happy and he is doing what he wants to. He knows what he wants from his career. He wasn’t well at the pitch but Cassano is a nice replacement as he is quite professional and we will not quarrel.”

Italian club players landed at Emirates this Wednesday to take a six-day tour. Team was consisted of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Massimo Ambrosini and Clarence Seedorf coming from North America, Europe and Africa. Also Brazilian players Robinho, Pato and Ronaldinho arrived on Tuesday from Sao Paulo. AC Milan is scheduled for a game with ‘Al Ahli’ (Emirates based football club) in Rashid Stadium on 2nd January.

Brazilian striker has far past his prime time and will depart from Milan as the Italian club would officially sign Cassano from Sampodria in the next week. Even after the feud between Cassano and Sampodria president, Riccardo Garrone, Ibrahimovic backs Cassano and believes that he is not a rotten apple. Cassano has joined the club in the training session and will feature for the club against the contest with Cagliari Calcio.
